Lynes performed really well, I thought he would win a UD but he was alot more convincin than i thought. Ajose Olesugen didnt really impress me against Reid, Gary Reid was there for the taking from the early rounds and Ajose didnt have the power to take him out. Morrison, Bami and Mutley all stopped Reid, Ajose couldnt.
Muttley was shocking last night, he just didnt look himself at all, slow as ****. But credit to Lynes, he boxed really well. Muttely looked weight drained, and to be honest it looks as if he's hitting the weights a bit too much, doing weights for power is a good idea but if you them wrong it will slow you down. Not sure why he was as bad but I'll stick with the weight drained theory. Well done to Lynes, he's got a good boxing head on him:thumbsup Sorry Olu, I cant see Matchroom going anywhere near your man Ajose Olusgen, far too dangerous. Colin Lynes can beat guys cause he's clever and fairly quick, but Ajose has these in abundance as well, far too dangerous a fight fot them to take on. But I do hope I'm wrong:thumbsup
Colin will beat Daws this time, he went Into that fight Ill. Wouldn't It be better for Colin to fight Ajose when he gets his passports? I think Maloney said he'd push for Ajose to be mandatry for the British and EBU when he gets his passports. I think It was boxing news where I read that.
lol how has everyone bought into this "everyone is avoiding me" thing which Olusegun said? Lynes would beat him with a comfortable UD IMO, maybe he would even stop him late.
Ajose would knock Colin Lynes out. There will be no split decision. I applaud him for his performance against Muttley but Ajose is totally different kettle of fish altogether.
Unfortunately Top Dog you are probably 100% correct as Lynes has avoided Ajose many times in the past even after signing contracts to fight him. Ajose as you rightly point out is much skilful and faster than Lynes and hits much harder. Lets hope Lynes steps up to the plate but I doubt it.
Dream on Son. Answer a simple questiion why did Lynes pull out after signing a contract to fight Ajose. How the hell can Lynes beat a fighter who is superior to him in every facet like Ajose and who has beaten better fighters than him. We would happily fight Lynes tomorrow. Once Ajose gets his citizenship I have a funny feeling Lynes would give up his belts rather than face Ajose. You must be biased if you think a man who has knocked out the likes of Bradley Pryce and Ali Nuumbembee would lose to Lynes who nhas been stopped by Malinga and Daws. Please let us have the match tomorrow.
Apart from the Reid fight Olusegun has really impressed me. He's an athletic fellow with skills. Wins over Pryce and Nuumbembe are not to be sniffed at. Reid seems to have gotten a bit more durable lately, so it wasn't a bad result for Ajose.
You never know, Lynes does seem very very confident at the moment, and he is boxing well, so he may stick his neck out and take Ajose on. He's a good fighter but I think Ajose would do a job on him that's for sure:thumbsup
As you know Top Dog I agree with onm the outcome of a fight between Ajose and Lynes. I did not get to see Mbaye and Rees but I got a call saying Rees won the contest. This begs a question how did Rees win and more importantly how the hell did he get a world title shot. I am not sure that Rees is as good as the domestic guys in Britain at the weight such as Nigel Wright, Lenny Daws, Colin Lynes, Ted Bami & co. I mean how do Sports Network get this guy rated and a world title shot when he has been inactive for over year. I mean what was Mbaye doing?
Well, like you I expected Rees to take a beating, but Mbaye was terrible, not to take anything away from Rees cause he did work very hard. Rees will lose to the first good guy he takes on cause he is just not built for that division. Man I wouldnt like to see Ajose v Rees, it would be an absolute KILLING, I think I would need to call the police Wait and see if Lynes is up for it, you never know! And Rees will try and get the biggest possible fight, maybe even Hatton, just so that he makes a packet and then moves back down to his weight division. Fair enough on Rees though, he made Mbaye look very average.
