"I'm trying to get this mandatory whenever Andre Berto and Lou DiBella stop playing games. It's a fight I want to give the fans, it's a fight I want myself. Andre Berto hasn't fought nobody - Steve Forbes is a smaller fighter. Andre Berto considers himself the best and he hasn't even fought no one yet. He's saying he's the best - let's fight. They tried to make the excuse that I was on (medical) suspension, but last week I got my doctors note. I'm off suspension, so let's see what excuses they got now."

Collazo has a great shot at beating Berto if he is motivated.

This would be a pretty good fight and a fight that I see Collazo causing Berto a lot of problems. I do think Berto would win a close decision, but we'll never know if they don's get in the ring together.

The latest rumor with Berto is that if the Mosley/Margarito fight falls apart then a Mosely/Berto fight could potentially be made and Collazo would be paid step aside money. I would like to see Berto fight Collazo who is his mandatory and after beating him then look to fight the likes of Mosley, Zab, Cintron, Quintana, and Clottey. Collazo would most certainly pose the greatest challenge that Berto has ever faced but I think his slickness is overestimated and Berto's speed and power will prove to be too much in the end.

Clottey seems locked into a fight with Williams after Paul handles potential business against Verno Phillips at 154 so they're kind of out of it.

I think Berto-Mosley is the more likely route as Shane seems to be bickering with money with Arum over the Margo fight.

Berto is at the point as a fighter where he can't fight anymore cans but can't take a step up as he's not ready yet. He's in that dangerous middle ground where he's going to have to take a potential risk against an unknown before he fights the elites.

Collazo will be a dangerous customer, because this would be his last chance, in truth.

I would back him to beat Berto anyway, I don't see what the fuss is all about with this kid, at all.

I think Berto would win but not before being tested in a way he's never been tested before as a fighter. His activity would probably propel him to a 8-4 Unanimous decision..but a slickster like Collazo could score big points on counter opportunities like Forbes did before he went into sparring partner mode.

Berto reminds me of Cotto really when he first came up to 147. I think the difference is Cotto seemed more ready to face the challenges coming up than Berto who seems undecided as to whether he wants to stay at 147.
