1.) You're giving the judges too much credibility.
2.) Berto is the house fighter. There is no question about this. HBO just needed him to clear this tricky obstacle and then they could have him mesmerize the fans again by matching him with someone he could show his speed against. Probably someone decent but very slow.
3.) The close rounds have to go to the champ? Why? When you bring up such a subjective standard for scoring rounds it doesn't help your argument. Try using something more concrete next time.
4.) 114-113 is a perfect score. For Collazo. Berto did not win 7 rounds. NO WAY NO HOW! If he won 6 he loses by a point cuz of the deduction. The ceiling is set. He needed the 12th to make it 6-6 and he would still lose by a point.

    1. The judges are the only scores that matter; mine and yours dont even count so the judges are the only ones who get any credibility.

    2. House fighter or not that fight could have gone either way.

    3. The champ usually pulls in the close rounds. The challenger is trying to take his belt n he needs to beat him without a doubt.

    4. 114-113 is the perfect score either way...you say Berto didn't win 7 rounds. I had him winning 7 rounds and obviously 2 of the judges had it that way too. I think your just biased towards Berto. He won that fight on the cards so juss accept it. If it was 114-113 Collazo than that woulda been a fair score too.

    5. Berto landed alot of clean punches as well. The rematch will show who won that first fight IMO.

1.) Unfortunately, this is true. Even worse is the fact that judges such as the one who had it 116-111 for Berto get to keep scoring fights. How the **** does one come up with a score like that?

2.) Jermain Taylor got the HBO house treatment. Andre Berto is too. If the fight is remotely close you're safe. The fight could not have gone either way. The most you can give Berto is 6 rounds and he STILL loses by a point.

3.) The champ getting the close rounds is some bull**** axiom that really shouldn't have any place in objective scoring. If a challenger nicks a close round why shouldn't he get the 10-9?

4.) I actually like Berto. I've seen him fight about 5 or 6 times and I've enjoyed all of his fights. I just call them as I see them. He lost.

5.) He sure did land a lot of clean punches but he was Still outworked enough to lose 6 or 7 rounds.
