found this on this on the site with fight news The camp of WBC #1 welterweight Luis Collazo is protesting against the proposed WBC welterweight title eliminator request by Promoter Rodney Berman between Isaac Hlatshwayo and Jackson Osei Bonsu. "We are formally requesting that WBC #1 ranked Luis Collazo be named as the mandatory challenger to fight Andre Berto for the WBC welterweight title," wrote Collazo's manager Nirmal Lorick to WBC President Jose Sulaiman and the WBC Board of Governors. "If for any reason the board does not mandate Collazo as the mandatory challenger we should, at the least, be the first considered in any discussions in reference to any upcoming eliminator bouts. Luis is able and available to fight anyone in an eliminator for the mandatory position."
How did Collazo jump to #1? Bonsu was ahead of him a month or two ago and neither of them have fought. Seems odd to me.
i agree but i still have no clue who jackson bonsu is. its strange that for a top 10 WW practicallly none of his fights are ever talked about. i dont know if thats bad or good. mainly because i dont know who jackson bonsu is.
Isaac Hlatshwayo, Jackson Osei Bonsu and Luis Collazo as top contenders for Andre Berto's WW Championship ( won against Micky Rodriguez)... There's something terribly wrong with the WBC.
Sugar Jackson is a strong puncher with decent quickness but wide punches and flawed fundamentals. He kind of reminds me of a welterweight version of Edwin Valero. If he was American and not Belgian, he'd be a media darling because of his reckless style.
im pretty interested should this fight take place I think collazo's been in there with some monsters so i want to see how it would turn out .
