No way! Berto will smash Collazo after some early round difficulty. Don't forget, Andre is still learning, and he's in boxings toughest division. It'll take a Williams or a Cotto to beat him.
If getting floored by Rivera cursed Berto's career, what happened when Ali got floored by Sonny Banks and Henry Cooper?

    Agreed!
I don't know why everyone feels the need critisize every young fighter. I know he's already won a title and should be ready but if you had the choice to fight for a title would you not?
He's got flaws yes but he's got real potential and he's exciting to watch.
Is that not what we want no?

Margarito would brutalize....BRUTALIZE Berto. Cotto would hurt him and stop him. Williams beats him, probably by KO. But I don't think Collazo KOs him. Maybe UD.

Completely offbase and I couldn't disagree more with you more. Your comment about Berto not being strong is perplexing and if your basing your opinion just off of his fight against Forbes thats just flat out irresponsible. Keep in mind Forbes never has been stopped, which was how HBO marketed him leading up to his fight against ODH, and Berto hit him with some serious power shots. Berto imo looked better against Forbes than ODH did. Also Berto's got 18 ko and some in very impressive fashion. Go back and watch the Estrada fight who he stopped which was something Mosley couldn't even do.

before i thought collazo would school berto bad but if they fought soon I would favor berto because of Collazo's inactivity plus berto is improving in every fight.

Collazo almost stopped Hatton but I dont see him being powerful enough to actually KO Berto maybe hurt him though. Collazo wouldnt shock me if he won but im picking Berto but it wont be a shutout like the Mosley-Collazo bout.

Berto KO Collazo out in 6 rounds ppl. Collazo is not beating Berto, the only person I see beating Berto is Williams. Cotto would have a tough fight,Margarito would and all those other guys. Berto is off the hookand you need to get on right now before he starts whooping everybody.

Cosme Rivera's a bigger puncher than Collazo.

IMHO, Collazo is tailor made for Berto. Little power, not a lot of movement, relatively slow. Sure, he'll hit Berto all night, but Berto will be landing the more solid punches.

It's hilarious how much **** Berto gets. People make it seem like he has John Duddy-esque defense with the chin of Amir Khan. Berto has gaps in his defense, no doubt. But he's actually decent at rolling with punches, and deflecting shots with his arms and elbows. I think Manny Steward may have pointed this out in the Forbes fight. His chin may still be a big question mark, but I've seen nothing yet to suggest it's going to be a liability. I don't even recall anyone questioning it until Merchant mentioned during the Figueroa fight that Berto had chin issues in the amateurs. Not too long after that, Berto gets dropped by Cosme Rivera, and it's as if his chin has been certified glass. Please. Cosme Rivera is a decent fighter in his own right, and can punch. Many fighters better than Berto, have been dropped by lesser punchers than Rivera. I'll reserve my judgement on Berto's chin until I see him in with a quality opponent who can bang.

Seems like every young up and coming fighter, whether it's Berto or Yuriorkis Gamboa, has more people hoping to see them fail, than vice versa.
