Hilton edges the war; Jones is teak tough, but just falls short against this type of opposition, not helped by having to move up. WU15 (9-6)
Colin Jones would take this one. McCrory's height & reach are the only thing that saved him from Jones' pressure. Hilton wouldn't have that luxury. Hilton was a good fighter with a terrific left hook. But he couldn't be busy enough to keep Jones off of him. or outscore him. Jones UD.
The Only Thing that would Worry me On Jones Behalf here is that Matthew was a Lt Middle, and Jones a Welter, If a few Extra Pounds dioes not unduly effect Colin then i think he can get through the Early "Hailmary Shot" Rounds of Hilton, by Dint of his Excellant sharp Jab and a bit of Matadoring, After 6 rounds i would Expect Matthew to start Flagging Just has he did Against Robert Hines, at which point, Jones can perhaps start to become the Aggressor and start about putting this Baby Bull to the sword But as stated, the concern would Be Jones up against an Initially Very Strong, haymaker throwing Lt Middle, And some Felt that Jones did not like it to the Body, if this is the case Matthew might be able to Exploit this, But Jones the better fighter who did not like Runners but Fighters who came to him, Hilton would forfill this requirement, Jones is the choice as long as he is not impaired by any additional poundage.
Xplosive - I cant offhand recall Jonesy going to the body Much at all i cant recall if his first lost by DQ to Curtis Ramsey was by dint of a Low Blow? Colin seemed to make opponents disappear with headshots, even if it took several rounds to Zero in ! Even now whenever i watch Jones V McCrory i still keep willing him to go for that Body ! !
