Toney was hitting his best form at Super-Middleweight, and looked more comfortable there, before running in to Jones. If we're talking the Toney of the Barkley and Williams fights, he's just a cut above Collins. Collins was game, durable and not a bad technician, but he wasn't a very adaptable fighter. A 1993-94 Toney would be showing him things he'd never seen before and, I believe, things he wouldn't be able to deal with. Toney wide decision.
Toney would beat the **** outta Collins. Assuming of course, we're talking the Toney who beat Barkley and Charles Williams. Collins would take a thrashing.
Toney was far better than anyone Collins fought at 168, McCallum was by far Collins best opponent, but he never beat him and Toney did at 160 that`s the difference between the two, Collins could never beat an elite fighter, he was very basic, but sometimes he would throw a good 1-2.
