WB - I’ll give you Old George, I wouldn’t say young George was slow, sans cases of obvious fatigue.

Of course many combinations cannot coexist in reality - like having your cake and eating it too - e.g. move and be evasive like Ali but punch like Shavers - not possible.

If it was possible to transplant or program in a mindset - mix and match minds and bodies - that’s not comprising - like say inputting Marciano’s dedication and discipline into the head of Buster Douglas who otherwise retains his attributes - then you might’ve had, more or less, a careers worth of Tokyo Douglases.

I guess a “simple” chin transplant doesn’t upset the apple cart either - Ken Norton with Chuvalo’s chin (or even Ali’s or Holmes’ chin) might’ve allowed the essential Norton to survive and prevail over the truly elite punchers.

    Floyd Mayweather + Tyson Fury

Imagine someone with Fury’s size, reach, power, toughness + cunningness combined with Mayweather level speed, reaction time, boxing skill and ringsmanship skill. Pretty much unbeatable.

This isn't my all time pick, but super interesting to me:
Ali and Vitali. Vitali always mimicked Ali but never had the coordination to be quite as fluid and as a result was always kind of awkward. If you add some accuracy and a bit more sharpness and speed to his punches, I feel he becomes even scarier. It just sounds immense, taking the body of Vitali and adding Ali's original mindset and speed/agility with his hands and feet. Keeping Vitali's thudding power and in/out style but adding in some sharpness, more crispness and speed. I think that's kind of what Tyson Fury is going for these days, but he adds in his own roughhousing element. I would favor VitAli over him :guitar:

Holmes and Wilder. Give Wilder's height, reach, and right to Holmes. Larry had one of the snappiest 1-2's out there. Imagine it where the right that lands a split second behind his jab was Wilder's. Results would be ridiculous. This one seems realistic to me because Larry liked to throw a straight right and Wilder has a fast beastly straight right.

Another fun one would be Tyson and Frazier. Keep Frazier's heart, left hook, and infighting ability. Add in Tyson's speed, power, right cross/hook/uppercut, chin, mid-range and countering abilities. Honestly, we might have got similar to this one in real life had Tyson brought on Frazier as a trainer.

Yeah not sure I get that one.

How about Lewis and McCall? Now that would be something.

Combine Hagler and Hearns and you've got a fighter who would retire undefeated.

    Liston + Patterson

Now they have the speed, reach, and power to tag any HW.

Ali + Patterson gives you the fastest HW period.

Lewis + Frazier, well rounded in all accounts and will always get up when dropped.

Nice post, but really...George was the operator of his own jaw vs Young Foreman, and it didn't work too well. Don't know about the Chuvalo jaw-enforced Norton vs Shavers or Cooney though.
