    Sure, it didn’t work out for Chuvalo without Norton’s skills.

    With Norton’s skills, Chuvalo isn’t the easy target that he was and he would also be far more offensively adept.

    Giving Ken the chin of Chuvalo won’t see Norton as heavily reliant on that chin as Chuvalo was but it will allow Ken to survive the bombs that do get through without Ken falling apart.

    Imagine Ken Norton with George Chuvalo's chinny chin chin that won't let other big punchers in, he may have exhausted George Foreman on March 26 1974 in Caracas, Venezuela, and possibly went on to victory, becoming champion.

    I’ve read many a fight breakdown but Ollie’s was the first one I ever saw in the ring.
    Tbh Rich, without Norton folding upon the first few big hits, I could see Ken meting out some fair punishment to George - he was starting to connect solidly when Foreman stepped up his own attack.

    The physical appearance of a jaw doesn’t necessarily tell the story about its resilience - otherwise Richard Dunn’s lantern jaw might’ve been the most indestructible chin ever…LOL,….a mandible most worthy of gracing Mt Rushmore…

    I have noticed however that Ken Norton Jr has a very square jaw that, at the least,“appears” more sturdy than his old man’s.

    Imagine that, Kenny Jr possibly being “gifted” with the missing piece to Kenny Sr’s ATG jigsaw puzzle?…dayummm!!

    Maybe Muhammad Ali should have penned Ken Norton The Pelican instead of giving that name to wrestler Antonio Inoki.

    Ringo vs Inoki would have been cool to see, Bonavena was durable, Inoki just laid on his back and kicked Ali's legs. They also have another secret brother, Talk Show Host Jay Leno. Ha Ha.
