well im rather new to boxing, and boxing is like a diffifulc choreografy, while doing one thing, you have to pay attention to others, while planning your next step or steps - that is one hell of a task to learn..

as a beginner, its just damn hard and last night after training, i jokingly said, this is almost humiliating, being a 29 year old mann and getting beaten by a 16-17 year old punk - ill just add, he´s just been called up to join, the danish national team for juniors, so an excellent boxer - but nevertheless sometimes its damn frustrating and borderline humiliating.

theres also a couple of other young fighters, goddamn irritating styles, jumping around like the roadrunner, in and out of range. they are easier to deal with then the national team member, but still hard to hit.

so come on guys, anyone else willing to admit being owned by a younger and smaller mofo:D

don't worry about it. There's a 14 year old in my gym who has to take it easy on a 26 year old who's been boxing just as long if not longer than him.

That's just boxing for you. Beyond a certain minimal time period to get the basics, there is no 'serve your time' situation, where the best are those that are in there the longest. Experience does mean a great deal, but a lot of it comes down to natural attributes, and if you don't have them, you can lose to someone with less experience. I'm not saying you don't have them by the way, just as soon as you get comparissons with others out of the way and just focus on maximizing the attributes you have, the more you will enjoy the sport.

im actually doing quite well, allready had my first skill fight after only 2 months sparring. Im not saying humiliating, as if its a bad thing nor am i complaining, i was just looking for others, who might have a "humiliating" story to tell. :yep

another example form my gym : there is this farmer-boy, weighs around 82kg and sometimes gets to spar with a female boxer, who at most weights 55 kg.. she been doing boxing for a long time, ive sparred her myself, she is okay.. BUT she "beats" him, its funny because its "humiliating" but not in a bad way.. but certainly a situation, where we are in a postion to make some jokes..

just looking for other fun and "humiliating" stories:lol:

no one gets humiliated, its just sparring dude. Sparring is all about skill and speed. Important attributes like power, chin, stamina, and determination arent really a big factor in sparring(they shouldn't be unless your going all out). So i wouldnt really say anyone gets embarassed. More like they get taken to school or taught a lesson :good. Albeit somtimes a trainer will tell you to "embarass" one of those tough guys who slug it out in sparring

Ok. In that case, my most 'humiliating' story was when I was asked to move around with a guy who had his first time sparring, while I had boxed around 6 and a half years. Was just taking it easy, tapping his headguard and got a little bit too relaxed, was kinda half sleeping, and then he swings from this ridiculous angle and hits me right on the jaw. I went down and had to jump back up again and continue, just to save the embarassment, but I had ringing in my head for a while after. Was probably one of the hardest punches I've taken, and really woke me the hell up!
