I said it over a year ago and got pelted by the Bellew fans, Ive said it before many a time and i'll say it again. Bellew gets completely and utterly embarrassed by Cleverly. His output was appalling when he is fighting a guy with 10 losses. He cant combination punch and has not setup work except for his left jab-right hook. He wont be smashing no-one's head in and he will be completely outclassed against 'Master splinter' This is not a Bellew hate thread as I genuinely wish the lad the best I really do, but this is a kick in the bollocks for all you nuthuggers who profess him as some sort of ko'ing machine. He is a domestic kingpin and will go no further in my honest opinion. Also whilst we are here, its nice to see Gavin have an hard time against a fighter who he made fight aboce his weightclass at short notice. Let this be a lesson and get yourself sorted Frank, you can go far, but not with the way things are now. You must make changes and be more disciplined else all that talent will be spunked away...
Bellew will get this fight the same reason Haye(achivements at Heavy) got him the shot at Wlad. HIS MOUTH
Fair play to Bellew for getting the the 'w', but Cleverly is a few levels above him from what I have seen, I would take Cleverly to stop him within 3.
And because he is the undefeated reigning British and Commonwealth champion. He isn't as good as he thinks he is, but he is a lot better than you give him credit for.
You are dead right, but the lad has only had 16 pro fights. Won them all with 10KO's. He isn't a no mark like loads of people are saying. His main problem is that he thinks he is a world beater. He isn't. But he isn't **** either.
Lets be honest if Cleverly and Bellew wern't both W@rren fighters and Bellew didn't have the gift of the gab theres no way on Gods Earth he'd be getting a world title shot.
i hope when bellew starts talking **** about putting him to sleep and in hospital the same people that slag of haye dont start finding trash talk funny again
Bellow still beats Cleverly in my opinion and until I'm proven wrong, this thread is **** and is gloating with no basis.
If he takes his time, who knows what he may be. 3 time ABA champion. Decent start to his pro career. Clearly has skills, and can punch. He should definitely avoid Clev now. Fight another 10 fights around domestic/European level then, if still unbeaten, think about Stepping up.
What has Bellew shown to suggest he could possibly beat Cleverly, Nathan is clearly the superior fighter.
He's been unconvining in his last 3 fights. He hasnt got a clue how to fight on the inside, and he constantly moans at the ref. What glimmer of hope or round have you seen to suggest he can beat a man like Cleverly?
