hatton is hardly arrogant, all top boxers are self confident otherwise it owuld be pointless even getting on the ring. the reason hatton has the "beers with my mates" line so often is that he's a working class lad with working class mates and he's conscious of appearing to big headed to the friends who he's had for years.

Frankly, I dont think Ricky's as good a puncher as people make him out to be. Oscar certainly hit much harder.
