i've disagreed with some of your logic when it comes to sizing up fighters but one thing is for sure, your a fair dinkum fella and that's refreshing around here.

congrats on being a sport about it.

i'm sorry you lost the money, but don't worry money can't replace good health and good family and if you have those then you'll quickly forget about it :thumbsup

as a wlad fan i want to say congrats to lamon brewster not for his performances as i feel both fights he wasn't in wladimir's league despite the result of the first one, but rather for his great sportsmanship. he could've really ripped into wladimir over the allegations or even made some legit sounding excuses (like hie eye was going bad again etc.) but instead he chose not to, and took the defeat on the chin. class act.

I wont jump aboard the Wlad train, I dont understand it, he's a nice guy with a very good offense and okay defense but for some reason I just always want him to lose. I dislike him and no I'm not a hater. I've been picking him to win in all his last fights. I know how good he is, I just want him to lose.

    weird huh?

Ah come on give yourself a little credit. I think that Brewster landed a punch somewhere in that fight.

I am in the exact same boat with you. It's his nut-licking crazy fans. The "Bad" fans as I call them. There are "Good" Klit fans, albeit a very small number... and then there is the majority of "Bad" fans that will never admit any fault of their guy. It is these people that drive us to wishing an otherwise nice guy, Wlad, will get his head taken off in the ring. :yep

I'm exactly the same, I know Wlad will win but I never want him to. I think it is the Wlad fans who pick him to beat every Heavyweight champion from John L Sullivan to the present day that predjudice me against him.

Wlad's post-fight interview was all class. He had an open door to rip Americans and he said "what does nationality have to do with it?". I was impressed and I think an American fighter would have talked **** in the same circumstances.

The money lost is worth it if you learn good lesson from it.

Wlad is my favorite fighter but even I sometimes want him to lose, or at least get tagged a little.

A lot of his fights are simply executions. The guys fighting him are landing nothing, and it's just one-sided jabathons, waiting for the left hook or right hand that's going to end it.

I was cheering for Lamon at the last round, hoping he could at least make it interesting.

I've become a big Klit fan lately. He's class outside of the ring, has good skills, and is the only one to admit he is not the champ but simply a title holder.

Wlad finally did what some sharp eyes have been saying for years, he moved to the sides, and used the angles.. He seldom backed straight up.
That first punch he threw was a long hook. Hello. Your wake up call.. Few fighters have or use the long hook. To use it agaisnt a hooker was like the power jab that Holyfield woke up, Tyson or the straight right that Ali dissed Forman with. Wald dissed him on the first punch.
I was surprised in the first minute or so of the fight, that Wald was carrying the fight to Brewster, lots more than I expected. After getting some respect, he backed out of the danger zone. After that he was too elusive, with his right and left circling,, and Brewster's trainer hadn't trained him for this unexpected tactic.
