May get a lot of stick for this, but watching Joyce vs Zhang 2 with the old man we both commented on how Zhang reminded us A BIT of comeback Foreman. Thudding, accurate punches, relatively economic, patient and relaxed.

This is more of a comparison comment than a head to head but thanks for the link

Nothing alike for me, except for being older, more patient fighters with a huge punch.

Zhang carries over certain air of amateur style (less physicality and control game, etc.), a tight high-guard and clearly a consummate level of boxing education. He counters with mean intentions, and puts together great combinations, though it's been seen that movement, crafty feints, and quick, explosive leads can keep his output low.

Foreman brought from his younger days an excellent long guard, with a repertoir of controlling techniques more varied than an offense of many boxers. He had a fantastic jab (something Zhang naturally did not need to develop) and very tricky rhythm and timing, unduating between that of a forceful brute, and a collected general. His punch selection and angles were unorthodox (walking hook into an angle, lead hook into an angle, kidney shots, the entire spectrum of bend-arm blows) and of course he used the crossguard to stifle the initiative of young fighters, and severely limit their offensive options.

Foreman also had great stamina during his comeback. A level above Zhang who can go inactive for a large part of the round, or shut down altogether in later rounds against Hrgovic (though he was coming in very heavy; he used to walk-in at around 255lbs, so his gas tank might have been better back then.)
