For the record, I have never read a negative revue of any of his books. And I wish him well with this one.
So in a Pollack book ..... I'll pick Fitz as an example. The Fitz book ends before he loses the title to Jeffries ........ so the two Jeffries fights are covered in the Jeffries book. Does that mean that Fitz's career after the 2nd Jeffries fight gets no coverage anywhere?
As I understand it, but you need a reply from someone who has read the books,I presume Mendoza has read Jeffries bio, perhaps he can confirm this? When you consider that Fitz lost his title to Jeffries in 1899, yet had a rematch with Jeffries in 1902 ,and fought on for a further 15years ,meeting such as O Brien twice[lost the LHVy title to him] ,Ruhlin,Sharkey,Johnson,Gardner [took the LHvy title off him],and Lang,I think my point is a valid one. Imagine Foreman's story ending when Ali stopped him in Zaire?
