Every single boxer that fought Shavers and Foreman said Shavers hit harder. That one is an absolute. In fact I've never heard anyone who fought shavers quote that someone hit harder than shavers.

Johnson said Choynski hit him the hardest too.

I think Jeffries was a good solid puncher but, apart from Ruhlin who retired in his corner, just about everyone he met was significantly smaller.

I was referring to the opponents Jeffries stopped. ps Johnson was 19lbs lighter than Jeffries.

I phrased that poorly. He obviously had some power, but he seemed to wear down, often much smaller opponents. Rather than looking like a really destructive ATG puncher.

Munroe was a similar size, but it's hard to take much from that fight. He beat a few other's who were larger, but not especially impressive wins. Like Jackson and Goddard were a decent size, but pretty shot (apparently Goddard's seconds threw up the sponge, never looked for a report of that one TBH).

Didn't they both dehydrate to those weights?

Jackson was an alcoholic,in the first stages of TB,37 years old ,and hadnt fought in 5.5 years.
Godfrey was 40 years old. Both were over the hill and over the next hill too!

I'd rather use the system of my country, the USA. Which is better than any other country

No Johnson beat the **** out of Jeffries on July 4th 1910.Johnson was 19 lbs the smaller man as Ive told you once already on this thread. Name a fighter that Jeffries stopped who was his equal in size?

Jeffries and Ruhlin met twice ,once when both were comparative novices and they went to a 20 rounds draw.
In their second fight Ruhlin was retired in his corner. Jeffries was the heavier man on both occasions.
