At this point it just is what it is. Somebody is paying off judges and commentators. And its not just limited to one network or promotion company. Its everybody. If you're coming to America to fight a house fighter you have to face facts. First, the cards will be rigged. And two, the commentary will be biased. So considering these two facts you must come for the KO. If you are a young fighter with power and stamina then might as well do it to make a name for yourself. But a 35 year old guy like Korbov with average power and bad stamina. How you going to pull off a KO? Charlo is literally domestic level by the way. Hes not in world class let alone champion quality. How in the hell do you get schooled by a 35 year old sausage maker who had 2 weeks to prepare and cut weight?
Korobov is a brilliant boxer. Always has been. He's just had terrible career management & been injury riddled. I'm sick & tired of incompetent judging though. They are tantamount to thieves, stealing a man's legacy & livelihood!
you can say the same in most countries, the amount of cards in the uk with shite judging is unreal. I find matchroom cards worst than warrens cards because the home fighter with warrens home fighters have lost in close decisions or fights where you think a dodgy result will come there way. example zelfa barret vs ronnie clark, truax vs degale and martin murray vs ndam yesterday. maybe warrens to skint 0r tight to butter them up
Amazing that PBC judging found six rounds to give GRJ vs Loma but only one to give Korobov last night
Not for nothing, but they were going to rob Usyk on the cards if he didn't knock out Bellew. The judges in Manchester had Bellew up. And Adonis Stevenson received some very favorable judging his last two outings in Canada. If Gvozdyk hadn't knocked him out they had Adonis up. Badou Jack didn't knock out Stevenson and he only received a draw. Also, the Ward/Kovalev thing wasn't the only fiasco last year. I seem to recall a certain Horn robbery of Pacquiao in Australia. Oh, and even though N'dam N'jikam won yesterday, last year he was the beneficiary of perhaps the years worst robbery over Murata in Japan.
Yes but America has seemed to have the highest amount of ridiculous scorecards in high profile fights.
We've just managed to get a higher proportion of major fights. The percentage of screwball decisions remains a constant. Anthony Joshua will not be losing any decisions at Wembley, as evidenced by how wide the cards were for him against Parker.
