Holyfield, at the peak of his CW powers, wears the crown & entertains the following men moving up to tackle him. How does he fare? Conn Foster Moore Spinks Tunney Fifteen or twelve rounds, as you like.
He stops Conn late. He stops Foster late. He and Moore would be a Classic, a la Qawi. Vander wins a close Dec. I think Spinks has a decent chance of pulling this one off and even rattling Vander. He KO's Tunney in under 5.
If Boxer-Puncher, Evander Holyfield, adapts and shows up with the right style in place for each of them (and mostly sticks to it), he beats them all, in my view.
Wins a decision over Conn Stops Foster late but Foster rattles him Moore with his experience wins a decision in a classic Spinks could go either way but maybe Holyfield close decision Stops Tunney late
Well they intend to be Holyfield’s doom but if he brings his A game maybe they will become fond memories on his CV in later years.
This may be the longest post I've ever made LOL you've been warned. This is quite an intriguing set of matchups! I am not the type that roots for many fighters, usually just Hometown guys, but Evander is one of the rare exceptions, I've always rooted for him. Even after I heard about Evan Fields. Conn - Evan late TKO with Conn ahead by several points. Foster - Fields rises from a whipping left hook late rounds flash knockdown to KO Foster in Savage fashion the very next round. Holy ahead by a comfortable margin at the stoppage. Moore - Evandroid loses by lopsided unanimous decision, and almost gets knocked out along the way, suffering two solid knockdowns both the result of a straight right hand. Man, that was tough to type LOL but I got to call it like I see it, I just think Archie was way too clever and hit too hard. He wouldn't go after Evander, he was too smart for that. Spinks - this is the most interesting matchup to me, I have a hard time picturing the fight in my mind. They both have a fairly particular rhythm, with Spinks' of course being more of the unorthodox and unpredictable type ( I hate to say hurkey jerky but it really fits), whereas Holyfield boxed in a much smoother manner. I think Michael Spinks' power would carry well to Cruiserweight and could see him stunning Evander here and there during the fight. Again, we have a guy that is too smart to step to Holyfield, but will move around and give angles and do all kinds of stuff. So this fight may come down to Evander's left hook to the body vs MS better jab and straight right. Call it a draw LOL Tunney - and yet another brilliant old time fighter who would be too smart to war with Holyfield, and would be looking purely to jab and counter. And then he would proceed to get his ass whooped, but I think GT is tough enough to make it to the 12th or 15th round. Holyfield by comfortable unanimous decision, perhaps scoring a knockdown somewhere along the way. Well if you're still with me after all of that, thanks!
Spinks is the only one that I think is a question mark. I think he beats the rest somewhat convincingly. With Spinks, he will need to be more aggressive and try to draw Spinks into exchanges. He will definitely eat some right hands but he can handle Spinks power while I'm not so sure Spinks could handle his. If he tries to box Spinks, he will lose. He has to use his physicality.
I liked it better when we couldn’t tell the two of you apart and it was like the Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man meme of this forum.
He'd have trouble with all bar Foster, who I think he'd stop pretty easily. Moore offers a great fight and a rough night, but probably gets stopped IMO; Tunney and Conn could see the end but lose clear decisions for me. Evander was just too active and rugged for them to fend off. Spinks could well win a decision IMO, though I'd imagine Evander stops him late too.
