Comments regarding Ward & Dirrell Using something Illegal

Of course I agree, I think that it's a naive move on Ward's part. But in years of manufacturing and designing PEDs I'm sure Conte learned a hell of a lot so I can see the merits of Conte's involvement, maybe Ward believes this guy really is the best.

With regards to image, Ward could have protected himself from all of this by staying away in the first place.

If Ward is cheating then he is also stupid, cheating is risky, cheating whilst being associated with the sports more notorious cheat... well that is something else.

 

Ward works with a world class scumbag in James Prince, it really wouldn't surprise me if he is juicing given the Conte association.

This isn't like the Floyd and Manny saga, this is someone working with a known cheat.

 

He was enhancing athlete's performances beyond their natural potential, this does not exclude him from being the best it simply means he used illegal means to achieve better results than he (or perhaps anyone else) could have achieved for the athletes naturally.

It is the athletes who were not the best that is the basis for the cheating, we can't use this to reflect Conte's abilities for all we know he's God where nutrition is concerned.

Because by all accounts he is.

 

Oh, I mean before he got involved in PED's. He had obviously worked in the nutrition business yet he felt the need to start cheating. Why? If he was as good as Shilstone or Ariza or Kayes, he wouldn't have needed to turn to illegal substances to make his fortune, he would have done it the other way.

It's not really a huge point I'm making, by the way. I just doubt that as far as legal products go, Conte is any better than his rivals. I base this off the above paragraph and him turning to PED's, presumably because he wasn't good enough to do it legally, just lie the athletes he helps.

 

What do you guys think should be done about this? Ward has passed every drug test he has taken. If Conte is providing him with PEDs, then clearly the current testing system is insufficient. So what's the solution?

 

Haven't you thought that it's possible that the technology isn't yet available to test for the drugs that he may be on?

THG wasn't able to be found by tests for years.

The testing system they have in place is fine as it is. Why are people so insistant of instituting a more stringent system of testing, when more than likely, it won't even detect the drugs that they are allegedly using?

Testing needs to be improved, definetly.

It's hard because you can't flat out say "Ward is a cheat" but I just don't get it. I can't apply logic behind him getting help off Conte. He's such a disgraced character, it's impossible for me to imagine why any athlete would use him now.

He isn't a top nutritionist and never was. He makes PED's and that's it! His list of clients are people like Hunter, Mosley, Bonds and Jones, as well as bodybuilders. Then you have Eddie Chambers, a guy who looks thoroughly average and then puts in his two best performances. Even Ward has looked poor and then people pick him as the favourite to win the Super 6.

There's a lot of suspicion in my mind but Ward isn't guilty and because of Conte's confidence, he has no reason to be anything other than completely optimistic.

On the bottom of the article it says:

"2005 hatte eine unmittelbar nach dem Tour-Ende vorgenommene Analyse in sechs Proben Armstrongs EPO nachgewiesen. Das blieb aber ohne Konsequenzen, weil eine notwendige B-Probe nicht vorlag."

In 2005 an analysis found EPO in 6 samples from Amstrong. No consequences because they had no B-samples.
