Okay, this was all fun and games until the actual work . How many rankings are we making? Just 5, or ten for all divisions?
hi folks. i told you before that i'd be glad to help you out with anything so i made a ranking of the best in the minimumweight category . i hope this will be of help. note that this in only IMO. feel free to discuss with me. i know this may be the weight yall will have a hard time with. 1. eagle kyowa - only loss came from an injury to his shoulder, will be meeting number 7 before the year ends 2. niida - only loss was a disputed SD with Noel arambulet, recently defeated gejon. this was his 6th defense of his title 3. condes - won his title against rachman via very close SD and will be faing him again next month 4. nietes - recently won against number 10 for the WBO title 5. rachman - at age 35 and over 70 fights under his belt, nearing the twilight of his career. but still has 1 good run in him as shown in his last fight where he was knocked down twice but still managed to finish 6. gejon - only losses are to niida. gejon is a lanky fighter who should put more combinations in his arsenal 7. sithsanerchai - undefeated fighter, never fought outside thailand so record could be suspect 8. barrera - after a loss to calderon at 105, tried it our and won at 108 9. omar soto - only loss was to number 7 10. kratingdaenggym - undefeated before sunday. showed great heart by standing up after a knockdown and actually pushing the action against nietes. supposedly used illegal substances in that fight
Already have my p4p rankings sorted, as well as the rest through MW-HW. Luckily, we get the chance to consistently update and this will sort out many fighters, such as Froch at SMW, whom I don't consider much, but because of the current wins/losses ratio of others, had to be placed top 5. And I didn't go ahead and rank Hopkins as the number 1 LHW.
ok. here's part 2. my top 10 junior flyweights. hope it helps out somehow 1. ulises solis - recently defeated rodel mayol. solis was tagged in the early going and appeared to be in deep trouble but the young mayol failed to capitalize. it only took a single punch from solis to send solis to dream street. will be fighting another filipino named bert batawang next month. 2. ivan calderon - after more than 10 defenses of his wbo minimumweight title, decided to move up to 108 where he defeated hugo cazares via SD. Iron boy suffered a KD at the 8th round but got up and won most of the rounds after. a rematch seems imminent 3. hugo cazares - defended his wbo title for five times before he met calderon. failed to make use of his 6 inch advatage against iron boy. managed to kd him but failed to finish the job. cazares is still a big threat to anyone at 108 4. edgar sosa - won the vacant title by defeating brian viloria via MD. has succesfully defended the title twice 1 by dq and the other by tko 5. juan reveco - he currently hold the WBA belt and has a record of 16-0-0 with 7 kos. will defend his title this month 6. omar salado - an undefeated fighter whose only blemish in his record is a draw with ulises solis. will fight former champ omar nino this month 7. giovanni segura - another undefeated fighter with 18 wins 14 of which came by the short route. 8. bert batawang - an old warrior who'll get a last chance for glory against ulises solis next month. he has 50 wins under his name and his last 12 wins all came by ko. 9. cesar canchilla - has a record of 24-1-0 with 19 kos 10. rodel mayol - lost to solis by a 1 punch ko. but mayol visibly hurt solis in round 6. he needs to polish his skills more and not over rely on his power to win.
