I don't criticize posters I don't agree with. I criticize posters who are nuthuggers and irrational idiots who will not listen. There are a bunch of Floyd fans I don't disagree with, because they don't go overboard like you do.

No, not really. Cotto was considerably closer to actually losing against Judah and Corley than Mayweather ever was.

Cotto fights Zab after Zab was coming off two losses and a NC. Had not won in two years. And was hurt a few times in this fight.

Floyd fights Zab after he loses to Baldomir because of the contract signing. Zab had not won in just under a year. PBF dominates Judah and looked like he was going to TKO him late until the low blow and rabbit punch.

Chop Chop Corley:

Cotto fights Corley after Corley loses to Floyd and dominates an unknown Daryl Tyson.

Cotto gets hurt very badly and almost goes down. Cotto TKOs him with what some call a hometown stoppage.

Floyds first fight at 140. Corley coming off a close SD loss to Judah. Floyd fights toe to toe with Corley. Floyd stunned by a BIG punch by Corley.

Corley KDed twice.

Cotto dominates the blown up lightweight and TKOs him early. Sosa was coming off a loss to Mayweather and two small wins against nobodies. Sosas 2nd fight at 140.

Floyd dominates Sosa at 135.

Justin Juunko:

140: Cotto

Cotto dominates and TKOs Juunko early. Juunko was coming into the fight with 4 KO losses in his past 8 fights. One to Floyd Mayweather.


130: PBF

Floyd dominates Juunko and KOs him.

Juuno was coming off a close fight with Hernandez and lost by TKO.

You also failed to mention that Cotto faced them all after Mayweather and also failed to mention Floyd fought two of the 4 at a lower weight then Cotto fought them. You also lied about Juuno being favored over Cotto then say you didn't say that.


You also fail to mention Floyd started his career at 130.


Ask people who had the better wins over those fighters in their career. It will go to Floyd. Floyd isn't meant to TKO you. Cottos is. And of course Cotto would TKO them. They all got beat by Mayweather.

My take on the common opponents:

Jukko: I think you have to give the clear edge to PBF. Jukko was two divisions above his best weight, and had been relegated to the status of journeyman by the point when he met Cotto. Not a bad win for a fighter with less than ten fights, but, still...

Sosa: Once again, PBF has the edge, because even though Sosa wasn't that far removed from his fairly spirited challenge, he was coming up in weight to face Cotto.

Corley: A bit trickier, because Corley was a viable contender when he met both fighters. Cotto got the stoppage, but was hurt badly in the fight. Floyd was also stunned, but not to the same extant, and went on to dominate. That's not to say Cotto wouldn't have dominated Corley had the fight continued...but the premature stoppage kind of prevents us from knowing for certain. Wash.

Judah: Coming off the loss to Baldomir when he met PBF, but, had impressed to an extant during that NC. Was, for all intents and purposes, the same fighter, with the same skill-set, and same flaws when he met both fighters. Judah held an early lead over PBF, dropping him in the process, only to be dominated later in the fight. Stunned Cotto on several occasions, and actually showed some resolve in the later rounds. Nevertheless, was dominated, ground down, and stopped. Edge: Slightly in favor of Cotto.

Still...it doesn't matter, because everyone should concede that PBF is by far and away the more accomplished of the two fighters. Everyone should also concede that Cotto has proved himself to be, at the very least, a legitimate and credible contender at 147lbs. It's the fight to see...regardless of what people think the outcome will be.

 

It this kind of misjudging of floyd that got Hatton's ass knocked the **** out ..

Floyd if you haven't notice get stronger as the fight heads into the later rounds this is why he has no problem with sluggers , and you would be a fool to think cotto would be first hard hitting fighter floyd has fought .. Arum new this when floyd wanted Cotto at 140, Arum knew that Floyd would spank cotto ass then. Floyd has not shown any sighs that his game is slipping ..

You guy are so stuck on punching power that you think its the be all end all of boxing , once Cotto becomes a fat goose of a draw which he will , and floyd sharp shoot his ass for thank giving I wonder what you guys excuses will be then ..

I agree with everything you said , except for the zab scenario. Zab being off a full year with less then a round in his last fight before fighting Cotto.
IMO Zab was on his way to a KO loss until he folded Floyd in the 10 th.
