It might be my ignorance but why is it that every Commonwealth title seems to be contested between a UK fighter and a Ghanian? Also there's loads of high standard eastern European fighters ranked high in the world but you tend not to see them holding Euro titles, or has Giuseppe Lauri bought them all off?
I've never understood this either. I would expect to see a fair proportion of Australians and Canadians at the very least. How many commonwealth belt holders AREN'T British?
I buy that with the Commonwealth fights, also the Canadian fighters and Aussies have got other titles to win and a long distance to travel. Doesn't explain why eatern european fighters aren't fighting each other for Euro titles though. For example there's loads of heavyweights much much better then Sprott or Harrison but somehow they get to fight for a belt that gives them a ranking. Two decent German based fighters would generate money wouldn't it for a title?
In a lot of European countries they are more accepting of the ABC titles so as a promoter why not have a WBF World champion with no mandatories
