Terrible comparison. Oscar was just on another level.

What are you talking about? Cotto has ran every single fight since Judah. Plus Oscar had no damage by tito. How's Tito gonna ko someone he can't hit? Just curious as to that.

Oh come on. You're gonna give Oscar much credit for being the old Chavez that he did? One with almost 100 fight? Oh, and an old and coked out Whitaker, in a fight where Whitaker still managed to make Oscar look bad enough for some to yell robbery. Quartey?????

All these wins are rated over beating Mosley? Who just a year ago was the consensus "man at WW" and expected to "decapitate" Floyd. Anyone who questioned Mosley didn't "know **** about boxing" because Mosley was the "real deal".

    Come on man.

First any critic of Chavez would tell you those 100 fights are far from impressive when half of those fights were just there as a form of amateur experience. Just like Chavez Jr, you can't take those numbers seriously.

People who cry Whitaker/DLH being a robbery are Whitaker fans. A fight that close can't be a robbery. A robbery happens when a fighter wins beyond a doubt but still gets the shaft. Plus, the old coked out Whitaker is years later. Whitaker was on the slide, experimenting with ****, but he was the man at welter and it was Oscar's first fight in the division. I would favor that Whitaker over a hell of a lot of welters today.

Mosley was the man at welter when PBF fought him just as Whitaker was the man when DLH beat him. You're right, the man is the man. Both great wins but both on the slide. However outside of the men that beat them, both would be huge favorites on any other opposition besides the men that beat them.

OOOH, I get it. So when you COMBINE wins over washed up opposition, it becomes meaningful. Thanks for the lesson! :good

They fight the best because they know to be the best you have to beat the best.

Well, if thats the case, I don't see why Joe Calzhage's resume doesn't get more love. I mean he beat two faded ATGs in Jones and Hopkins. All you have to do is combine that ****, and now he's a legend killer.

Delahoya is taller, stronger, faster, more skilled, tougher, better resume, was a MUCH bigger star.

Wow I know Oscar is taller and naturally bigger but I think Cotto has better movement than Oscar. Oscar looks stiff as hell moving around and does not have Cotto's heart. Now would he win a fight in their prime I think so. But they are pretty close with their stats no matter what anyone says. If Oscar was so great he wouldn't have made his career by beating naturally smaller men.

    "Stiff as hell moving"?

Did you see the trinidad fight?

Cotto cant move or box as well as Oscar can, never will.

Cotto is way heavier on his feet.

    "Does not have Cotto's heart"?

Did you see the Quartey fight?

And to all the people that feel Ike beat Oscar,,watch it again!...

It was a close fight yes,but De La Hoya knocking down Quartey in the 12th and winning the 12th for a 10-8 round sealed the deal.

"De La Hoya made a career beating natural smaller men"

Do you feel the same way with Paul Williams?

Being the taller man, doesn't always mean your the bigger man.

Did you see Pac vs Hoya?Oscar wasn't the bigger man that night,he was the taller man.
