Well Vargas could never beat a A+ fighter, exception of Winky! For Cotto that remains to be seen if you dont count the Margarito fight.

But if some guys are clamming that Clottey was robbed then the Wright fight was a complete disgracefully robbery.

Winky and Quartey are way better fighters than Clottey. I also rank Castillejo higher than Clottey.

I think Vargas had a more vigorous start. he was world champion in his 15th fight and by 21 he had already fought Quartey, Wright and Trinidad.

Cotto came along more in the Bob arum slow but steady development. You start off fighting Tomatoe cans, then you progress to guys with winning records that are still pretty low risk. After you beat those guys you are ready to fight for a trinket. No so much a real championship belt but a title that will increase your marketibility. You also have to start fighting guys that don't really have the big name but pose a credible threat.

If you pass all of those tests you are usually at about your 25th fight or so. You've been carrying a title around for a while, scored some impressive wins shown that you have the stuff and you are ready for some mega fights against the elites.

I thought Winky edged Vargas, but Vargas got the nod. As far as Bazooka, he fought once in a blue moon. You have to be much more active to fight guys like Vargas.

How on earth is Winky an A+?

Cotto himself is not a solid A+, (I would say hovering between A and A+, still to be determined based on his future performances)

Clottey an A+ fighter?! get out of town. the guy is at most B+ and that's being a little generous. where tha hell do you get your ratings? A+ is reseved for the p4p Elites like pac, mayweather, etc.

mosley was A+ in his heyday but he's probably an A (Elite) today with his great win vs margo and a very close loss to cotto. i'll probably put cotto as an A- now, post-margo.
