Tyson gets knocked out by Euro level heavyweight Danny Williams.

Jones loses on points to future HOF Calzaghe.

Well Jones was dominated. Barely able to punch. K.O. aside, I think the calibre of fight he brought was about what Tyson turned up with.

I disagree, even if you take out the level of opposition, Roy was reasonably competitive most of the fight. Tyson was a 4 round fighter by the time he fought Williams.

Competitive? He wasn't throwing punches! Oh well have it your way.

Johnson was a genuine world class 175lber for a number of years, Williams was well.....lets be honest not ever really a world class heavyweight.

um jones was competitive for the first 6 rounds, and he won the first 2. He was hitting Calzaghe pretty regularly for the first half of the fight as well. I rewatched it last night and today.

Tyson against Williams was WAY more shot then Jones (who isn't shot). In fact if you want the pure definition of a shot fighter, watch tyson anytime post 1996 -- THAT's a shot fighter.

That's the way both wins will be looked at, it's strange you open the thread I was comparing that win exactly to Williams' win over Tyson in another discussion.

Jones isn't shot? I see. You're an idiot. There's no help for you.
