... in uncontroversial style, whereabouts would it rank ?

As a "big win" it would have to be up there.
And in what sort of range and company would it send Pacquaio to ?

... also, if he loses convincingly (which, I hate to say it, is more expected/considered likely - for whatever reason) and retires, where would he rate against the ATGs pound-for-pound ?

i think its flawed in that respect....if pacquaio did win, it could always be argued it wasn't prime mayweather and the question mark would be there if he could have done it years previous to the fight.

Yeah, whoever wins that's going to be MAJOR problem, and rightfully so.

For whoever wins it will be a "very good" victory but not a "great" one. As already mentioned, these two guys at 38 and 36 years old and not fighting much recently can't rightfully be prime. Its sort of like Hagler vs Leonard, but to an even lesser degree.

Pacqiauo ain't going to win, Floyd would beat him no matter when/where they fought.

Come May 2nd people are in for a huge shock when they see how easily Floyd handles Manny and takes home apart.

If Pacquiao beats Mayweather, he'll not only be the first man to defeat Mayweather, he'd become the only legit 5-division champion in the history of the sport. He'll also join Fitzsimmons and Armstrong as only the third 3-glamour division champion in boxing history.

    That's big stuff.
