Was MArgarito-Cotto comparible to Chavez-Taylor? Cotto like Taylor was the better ,faster Boxer. While winning the rounds was taking a physical beating & the accumilated blows caught up to Him later on?

I don't like the word "quit" in this circumstance. His corner threw in the towel.

Did Cotto not signal that he was giving up when he took the last knee? I believe he did, thats why he looked at his corner and they went ahead and threw the towel in.

Not the same,Cotto was going to lose had the fight carried on...

Taylor JCC was stopped at 2 seconds...

Of course it was comparable to Chavez vs Taylor.

Margarito was getting beat to the punch, getting hit with the harder sharper punches. Eventually, his body attack and relentless pressure got him a last stoppage. Exactly how Chavez vs Taylor went down.

Cotto vs Margarito was a better fight because it had controversy though.

quit is just a harsh word to use when relating to a man that just went through a hellish war for 11 rounds and who has proven his heart in the ring over and over again. Find another word to use :fire :deal

It is quit, think about Taylor. That guy was getting killed but he wasn't going to let his chance slip away from him. That is why people will always love and respect him (not saying Cotto will get no respect). Cotto when faced with the same adversity Taylor had, chose to look for the way out instead of going through the fire.

same outcome of fight, Taylor was outboxing the stalker but in the end instead of taking the knee like Cotto did (smart imo) he decided to stay in the pocket and pay the price. Sadly the price was his career.

I disagree Chavez did not end Taylor's career.

Never said he was the same, but he did leave Jr. WW and go up to WW and to Light MW. I doubt he would look the same in the higher weights.

And hopefully Cotto won't end up brain damaged.

Taylor's corner not stopping that fight earlier was disgraceful, even if he was winning on the cards. Now his entire life is ****ed up.
