hopkins last win was an even more shot rjj than calzaghe gets no credit for. his only other win since 2008 was ornelas.

interesting definition of "still fighting top notch fighters in their prime and beating them."

this pretty much sums out my feelings on the matter...& i'll leave it at that.

OMG is this a joke? Hopkins has BY FAR the better resume. On people he has fought alone win or lose Calzaghe, DLH, Trinidad, Tarver, Jones, Johnson, Pavlik, Winky, Taylor, Pascal. Calzaghe Fought A FARRR OVERRATED Lacy, Kessler who has only beat CF, and Librado, a shot Reid, Eubank, and Jones, and while yes he beat Hopkins, he slapped and threw girlish punches the entire time. The man looked like an amateur.

You cant count losses, otherwise I could get in the ring with a prime Tyson and a prime Ali and a prime Marciano lose everytime in 30 seconds and say I have a marvellous resume, sport is about winning.

I had Hopkins going 2-0-1 in the three fights with Taylor and Calzaghe, and I go by my own cards. Therefore, the only man who has ever clearly and convincingly defeated B-Hop was a peak Roy Jones (since he rose to world level), and the guy has fought a wide cross-section of top fighters from the past 15 years. For me, that is a pretty special achievement.

Throw in the fact that Hopkins has by far the deeper and stronger resume, and the fact that in his prime he was a far more skilled, complete and effective fighter, and you have a landslide in Hopkins's favour.

Joe C was a very good fighter, and surely will make the HOF. But he is no ATG, whereas Hopkins is. JMHO. And every special Hopkins performance these days just widens that gap. :good

OMG, another historical revisionist, or in your case several revisionists, how many aliases have you on the go at the moment, dinamita, Irish84, Pacfan84, el cipello, popkins ???

Calzaghe beat Hopkins, Taylor beat Hopkins twice and the Germans lost two World wars.

LoL this is just hilarious :) Fans of Hopkins keeps on posting crap about Calzaghe... Maybe they are happy with Hopkins resume, but they sure hate when he got schooled by Calzaghe :happy... Hopkins looked like a scared little girl, who didn't know how to spoil Calzaghes workrate... :hi:

Calzaghe beats Hopkins at any stge of their careers, too fast, too quick, too much workrate, too much punch output and equals Hopkins for nous and will to win.
