What would you think lowers your chin ranking more, being knocked down a lot or being badly hurt a lot? Like comparing someone like Juan Manuel Marquez (get dropped clean all the time, but never really, badly hurt) and someone like a prime Evander Holyfield (hurt many times, but went down from single shots rarely.

Or someone like Pernell Whitaker (never visibly hurt, at least from what I've seen, but has been dumped to the canvas a few times) and Floyd Mayweather (never dropped, but had been visibly hurt)

That would depend a lot on the opposition.

Getting knocked down doesn't necessarily equate to a bad Chin.

Getting rocked, put on ***** street and staggering around the ring like the town stiff usually does mean your punch reistance is not the best.

I disagree. I think the whole point of having a great chin is to NOT get dropped, so that you still have a chance to win.

Who cares if you get tagged (as long as you're not stopped on your feet)?

Who would you say has a better chin?

Fighter A has 35 pro fights, lost 2 decisions, never been knocked out/TKO'd, or badly hurt, but has been dropped hard by clean single shots 10 times.

    or

Fighter B has 35 pro fights, lost 2 decisions, never been knocked out, TKO'd or knocked down, but has been badly rocked with spaghetti legs 10 distinctive times.

Assume both fighters are twin brothers, and they fought in the same weight class, against the exact same opposition in alternate universes.
