Floyd fights scared. He runs like chicken. JMM engages w/ his counterpunches. He's accurate as he knows how to move his body to punch in angles.

PBF is more athletic and has more defensive skills, upper body movement, shoulder rolls and ring generalship.

But JMM speed and power is very underrated. IMO power and handspeed-wise he is on the same level as Pac/PBF.

skill wise, this debate is only on because floyd had never been that seriously challenged to dig deep in himself. whether he has the heart is another matter.

Marquez is a better counterpuncher. But is also defensivly poorer and offensivly less explosive and effective, added to the fact that Mayweather is better in terms of physicallity i.e. speed strength stamina etc.

Mayweather is clearly the beter fighter.

no pbf would beat his ass pbf is a class above JMM put put it plain and simple.

go ahead bring out the first castillo fight yeah it was close but he won and by more then 1 point. then he went back and erased all doubts in the rematch.

jmm is a great fighter but he had 2 close fights with pcaman. a close good win over a shot mab and a even match up untill the ko with a shot casa.

pbf has the better skill set.

    N who?

But I agree PBF is the best counter-puncher, but he's also less offensive than JMM and more inclined to win the fight on the judges score cards than go searching for the KO, even when the opportunity presents itself, ala De La Hoya.

Aren't those the most relevant fights?

Even when he fought Hatton, I saw very few combinations, but it wasn't necessary.

When he fought against De La Hoya he should have let his hands go as his uncle suggested, late in the fight. Against Baldomir, he was the vastly superior opponent, but I heard he had hand problems, so I suppose he should be given a pass.

PBF at his best weight at 130 took more risks than JMM did.:deal Alot of people here seem to trhink the PBF at 147 is the same one who was at 130.
