Both start as SFW teenagers under FW. Both East End Trained

Both bags of potential with injury problems and questions over living the life

Mitchell learn from Kevin and achieve his real potential?

    Who was/is the most talented?

Kevin Mitchell all day. Can't see him ever bagging a world title which is a real shame because he's a talented fighter.

On his night, there's not many better fighters in the UK to watch than Kevin Mitchell.

Is Mitchell Smith far behind in potential if he learns from the Jupp defeat

Kevin's defeat came after he finished his apprenticeship and his preparation was non existent

Of those two, Kevin Mitchell by some distance.

I couldn't see him beating Flanagan, Crolla or Burns, though.

Not disputing that Billy, what I'm saying is that there are not many better fighters to watch.

Smith is domestic level at best Mitchell is euro level fringe world class. Someone needs to tell smith he's no banger

Mitchell Smith needs to calm down, he thinks he is better than he actually is. Kevin Mitchell never had that sort of ego problem, he was just lazy and easily distracted.

Kevin Mitchell on his night would beat every other LW of this country from the past 5 years. He just screwed it up losing to Burns who is a nice guy but a sloppy fighter at best.

One's finished, the other hasn't started, and both are going nowhere.

I wudnt say smith going nowhere. Maybe he isnt as good as he thought but their is potential and his young. If he sorts his head and knuckles down who knows where he cud go.

I agree with this, if Mitchell Smith was to learn from this defeat and in the future look to work on his undoubted skills then he could still be a World Champion. But I personally think he looked much smaller than Jupp and he might be best served trying to do Featherweight if it's possible.
