Ray would stop Mike. And Ray hit harder then Mike.
Mike couldnt deal with Rays speed and Mike didnt have one punch power.
Mike was soundly outboxed by Kalambay the first time-totally one sided .And you could argue Kalambay won the second one as well- it was very close.
As much as i admire Kalambay he isnt a Leonard-everything he can do Leonard does better .

Mike was rocked by Jackson but still came back to knock him out with shots just as hard as any Ray threw, Ray did not punch as hard as Jackson, plus Mike knocked Curry out with a beautiful hook and his body punches were vicious, his punches had more effect at 154 than 160.

I can say that because its true, Hearns WAS leading in the 12th rd in the 1st fight (Pretty comfortably I might add) And both fights were very similar minus the Leonard knock downs in the 2nd fight, so it's easy (for me at least) to see that the 2nd fight probably ends the way way the 1st fight ended, with a Leonard ko, esp how badly Hearns was hurt in that 12 rd if the fight was a 15 rd fight. Conversely, It's pretty easy for me to imagine if the 1st fight was a 12 rds, Hearns wins that fight. Its just the way the fighters matched up with each other. During the time of the eye injury the science of the surgery was very iffy . I'm sure that factored into Leonard's mind (It would certainly factor into mine) So the retired/ I'm not retired back and forth is partially at the least understandable. You questioned Leonard's confidence . My point to you is simply you don't win fights the way he won without great confidence. He doesn't' Brawl in Montreal " (If anything he may have been overconfident in that fight) He doesn't track Hearns down in both fights, he doesn't take chances and get hit repeatedly to get the knock out of Kalule . He doesn't step into the ring with the premier middleweight in the world, and possibly the greatest middleweight to have lived . And let me apologize to you sir for the rooster comment, it was unnecessary on my part.

... and this turned into a thread of how Leonard supposedly retired to duck fighters one or two division above his weight. Amazing.

Anyhow, Mike looked more convincing to me from memory. But, as JohnThomas said, Kalule might have been effected by losing by two times in a row by TKO going into the fight with McCallum. He didn't look very different to my eyes, though.

Both fighters were far better and faster in the first fight, neither fighter was in their prime from 30 onwards.
