Tony lost to Griffin twice. And others too in 175.

Nah you're right but still those wins are incredible Hopkins and Toney could have easily ran 175 for years if they wanted and dedicated themselves to that division only

Griffin was a helluva fighter. Now ask yourself if Beterbiev could do what Toney did in multiple divisions. Toney's talents and accomplishments are solid as a rock

Yes, I believe Beterbiev can defeat all the opponents that Tony has beaten.

    I'll go one further...

On his best night, Roy beats any other LHW who ever stepped into the ring , on their best night.

Yea, and Bill Haney is 50-0 on the streets, and John Fury has a 300-0 bare knuckle boxing record

I'm a massive Beterbiev and Bivol fan, but RJJ was just too fast and too good. Beterbiev is too easy for him to hit and too slow to hit RJJ, Bivol relies on being faster and slicker than his opponenets, but RJJ is far, far faster and slicker than him.

Jones would have boxed his head off.
And I wouldn't even say Jones was a top 10 all time light-heavyweight.
He's a wrong style for Beterbiev though.

Beterbiev is/was a very good fighter. You might even say a great fighter. But there's a whole history of boxing and boxers. People tend to overrate current boxers, or underrate them. We need to find the right balance.

I remember a series(was on twitter I think) called "stupidest things casuals said this week". This post would be a perfect addition.

It's one thing to suggest that Beterbiev is a greater LHW than Roy after becoming undisputed with his latest (very controversial) win over Bivol. But to claim Roy didn't fight fight any real boxer(during a reign which he beat like a dozen top10 rated contenders per the Ring) is outright moronic.

A H2H match up between them is hard to call. Roy's chin was **** after he drained back to LHW, but he was only dropped once during his prime as far as I know, and we saw Beterbiev on the canvas too, aside from his KD against Callum Johnson, he was dropped by a club figher early in his career I think. It's possible for Artur to score a comeback from behind stoppage, but he gets hit a lot and will walk into a lot of uppercuts and left hooks. I'm not sure if he can walk through those shots like he did with Bivol's punches.

    Still inclined to favour Roy.
