Does anyone else see a similarity between Usyk and Rodriguez? The more I watch Usyk the more I can't help but compare him to that of Rodriguez. Both fighters have that constant bouncy footwork that helped them glide through the ring. They also have a high octane workrate where they threw punches in bunches and although they weren't one punch KO hitters they were still sharp punchers. Offensively and defensively they both could be hard to hit while still being highly aggressive. They could either box on the outside or swarm on the inside.

Personally I think they're both very similar but I'm curious how you would compare the two of them in terms of skill and style.

Zero comparison no offence, one guy is a P4P incredible boxer full stop. The other guy would get minced at the lower weights and is good for a HW, Imagine Usyk being the same size as Luis? Blood bath.

Don't really see much similarly between the two tbh both great fighters but they fight completely differently

Yeah I figured some people wouldn’t see any similarities which is totally understandable. They both have completely different boxing stances and don’t look anywhere near like a mirror image of each other. I guess where I draw the comparison between the two is mostly due to their nimble footwork, great stamina where they constantly threw punches in workmanlike fashion, and their ability to quickly shift between being a slick out boxer to aggressive pressure fighter.

It’s a rather odd and random comparison but similar in some ways in terms of their characteristics and attributes IMO.
