PAC was impressive against Cotto and did not look like he lost his speed and power. On the other hand JMM looked very sluggish.

If PAC had that weight advantage on JMM, he can really do some damage. :smoke

Pacquiao already had twenty-four rounds to demonstrate superiority over Marquez and it couldn't be muddier.

I believe MP will KO JMM @ WW. We now know that MP has not lost any speed or power @ WW. Even his chin has gotten stronger. JMM is not the same fighter @ WW. If Cotto, a full fledged WW couldn't stop MP w/ his punches, I can't see JMM doing it.

I agree. I created the poll/thread to point out that the JMM vs PBF is actually a knock on PBF in my opinion. So far the poll shows PAC would have best PBF given the same circumstances.

Hmm.... I'm not sure that we can take anything between how Marquez dealt with Pacquiao or Mayweather and suggest how Mayweather vs. Pacquiao will play out. In fact, at the lower weights I think Mayweather stops Marquez. Mayweather at 130lbs was more apt to score a knockout because he would throw in combinations and just generally often was more aggressive.

at the lower weights, JMM probably gives PBF a harder fight than Castillo I.

at 130, JMM has speed and power which didnt exist at 147. Pac stops him at Welter.

Stylistically, I see Marquez struggling to win any more than 2 to 3 rounds off Mayweather. At any weight.

At any weight, Floyd never uses his weight or strength, but choses to out smart and out box his opponent. With that being said floyd out boxes marquez at any weight. At 130-135 just entirely too much speed and skill, at 140 too much speed, skill and pop.

Floyd has always been highly skilled for his age.

jmm would not be as succesful with pac as he did in the past if he faces him anywhere above 140lbs. we have clearly seen that as great as jmm is, at that age and body frame, he can't perform at his best if its not near 135lbs.

JMM looks slow at this weight class. Pac would have whoop jmm azz.

No way does Marquez give Floyd trouble at any weight, and I think at lower weights Floyd's chances to stop Marquez increase.
