i dont see JMM winning more than 1 or 2 rounds off Manny if Manny was considerably bigger. The rounds he won in their last fight were all extremely close except the 8th.

    PBF V JMM
    - JMM was bloated
    - PBF cheated on weight
    - Fight was on WW

if you give the same advantage to pacman, the fight will be done in less than 2 rounds.

Aside from the physical difference between the two at this weight class (Pac stronger and JMM seems slower and weaker), I think the biggest difference would be Pac's more developed technical skills. He lived and die with his left hook and power pre-Diaz fight. Today, he has a quick double right and better footwork.

Yes he still lunges but with Pac's power at this weight (with no ill effect on his speed) and much more developed technical skills, it would result in a TKO in 7 rounds or less, in my humble opinion (not taking anything away from HoF JMM, but this weight class is not his weigh class based on the PBF fight).

I agree to some extent. JMM was made to look really bad by Mayweather, but JMM was definitely not at his best at 142 nor did Mayweather use his size advantage to push JMM around. JMM is somewhat of a technical fighter, more of a boxer puncher, and Floyd is more of a pure boxer, so really I think the styles were also a big part of it not to mention Floyd's skill level.
JMM is a good technical fighter, with probably a bit better defense than Cotto, so who knows maybe he hangs in there a little better
Its perfectly understandable that looking at what Pac did to Cotto at welter and what Mayweather did to JMM at welter, that Pac would just run over JMM at welter, but thats not always the case. Stylistic matchups have a big part of it too.

Pac would most definitley stop JMM at LW/WW. The only reason JMM was effective against PAC was because his reflexes were quick enough to pose problems. At LW/WW he is not quick enough + PAC improving and becoming more powerful = KO.

Also Mayweather would always beat JMM, regardless of weight class. Floyd just has JMM number stylistically.

The Pacquiao who fought Cotto would MURDER the Marquez who fought Mayweather.

At 130, they were on an equal footing.

But Pac's body has proved far more suitable to adding weight via muscle. He now looks stronger and more explosive than ever, whereas Marquez looked overweight, sluggish and bereft of firepower in a welterweight fight.

Pac would take him out early for sure.

Yeah this is kind of stupid. So to dominate someone over 12 rounds is less impressive than scoring a knockout in a close fight, especially when you take into consideration the styles of Pac and Mayweather?
I think Pac would win by KO against JMM at welter, but not in as one sided of a fight as he was in against PBF.
