He didnt train as serious as he should have for both fights, clottey was in his shell and pac couldnt crack it, clottey survived but look how, margarito fight should have been stopped and if pac would have kept the pace high it maybe would have been stopped, yet in the end it doesnt matter, it looks like he is training serious now, I hope he performs well.

I didn't take it as a diss. I do agree that Pacquiao' speed will be too much for Shane.

As Pac would say, "I'm just doing my job". Even though most people say this is an awful fight, Pac is still fighting the same version of Shane Mosley that Floyd fought. So his performance will be measured closely. If Pac underperforms and actually loses rounds or even the fight, it is a moral victory for Floyd and his fans. Pac's performance will even be measured against Donaire's recent performance against Montiel. That's why Pac is training really hard for this one.

So you're saying Pac will be fighting a better version of Shane because he might juice? Hell, he's going to have more red blood cells too.

This would be a dangerous mindset for Manny against someone like Shane, if he in fact is this soft mentally it's more a testiment to what seperates him from some of the ATG's. Don't hear what I'm not saying, I respect Manny's humility (even though I don't always "buy" it), I respect his compassion for his fellow man (if he does in fact have it, I have no reason to believe he doesn't), but as a fighter if you have a chance to finish a guy, you finish him. While Manny may "mean well", his opponent may not, and I think this is a flawed perspective for a professional prize fighter. I'm not saying he should try and kill or hurt anyone per se', but you finish your opponents, period.

Don't get me wrong, I think Manny wins this fight, but I don't think he'll win it quite as easily as some are implying. Obviously I'm a PBF guy, and the "company line" is this is a **** fight, which by most accounts it is but it's a different kind of **** fight than Clottey or Tony. SSM possess a threat, and the difference between how SSM is going to perform in this fight versus PBF is more about the styles than the fighters themselves. SSM couldn't decide if PBF was waiting to counter him or if he was waiting for an opening to "get off first", he confused SSM and made him hesitant. I don't see him having to "think" as much this fight and he is going to be able to get some punches off. If he can make Manny respect his punches, he COULD (stress Could) make the fight interesting. SSM still has (relative to Pac's recent opponents) semi fast hands, he still has power, and won't be overwhelmed by the HUGE stage. I don't know that he's defensively sound enough to really give Pac problems, but if it becomes a fire fight, anything can happen. Pac can win this fight easily if he's disciplined and patient, the question is can he be?

Which at this point is completely redundant, and means nothing. He was old when Floyd fought him, and he's old now.
