re: ABA finals, how do fighters get there?probably silly question but i have no idea.. I have been training for couple of years firstly for fitness but really enjoyed it and started at amateur boxing club few months ago.. had 1st fight the other week and won, got another this saturday but these are 'club shows' are these the same as ABA ranked bouts?
i think not.. they are by ABA rules but its unofficial. Official are championships, like nationals, regional, city etc... you must win this regional championships first, then national, so you can end up in national team. then you go to bigger championships like aba finals, wc etc..
ok cheers capt hook.. had 2nd bout last weekend at a club show; won quite easy but still watching it makes me cringe seeing how need loosen up and throw more.. start doing some yoga or something lol probably just need more sparring practice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3bVuJ_4Fhg
Hey people I'm new to Melbourne only goin to be here a few months, can anyone recommend a good gym to go to just looking for heavy bag and maybe a sparring partner, I'd appreciate it, p.s got no equipment with me.
There is a new website for amateur and professional fighters looking for sparring partners. This is a great tool to use to build a sparring network. Please check it out abd let me know what you think. You can join for less than $1 with promo code VanSparr. Join now while the prices are low.
I live in Jacksonville fl but I'm UN affiliated w a gym . I'm going to sign up for amateur boxing at usaboxing.org. what would be my next step to be registered and finding a fight.
Get your body prepared and aquire some skill, in a gym with a certified trainer, before seeking out a bout. Otherwise I can almost guarantee you a horrible experience.
