cross trainer's suggestion was indeed, a good start.

And you have undoubtedly improved his idea significantly with the injection of height sub-divisions.

And still, I see scope for further sub-sub-divisions...pure boxer, brawler, swarmer, etc.

Limited as it sounds, it would still be quite an achievement to be recognized as the WBA Short Junior Lightweight Aged, swarmer champion.

And as has already been mentioned, the holder of this belt should not fight the WBC Short Junior Lightweight Aged, swarmer champion.

Barring a draw, one of them would lose his belt, thereby reducing the total number of champions and diminishing public interest in pugilism.

Such unifications just run counter to the spirit of the sport.

They've never been able to figure out whether the between divisions are "super" of the lower one or "junior" of the higher one, so I would propose the following:

    135 - LW
    139 - Super LW
    143 -- Junior WW
    147 -- WW

    Problem solved.

Every professional boxer should get to be champion. A Federal Department Of Boxing Champion Equity should be established by presidential fiat to ensure that minorities of any kind are not excluded from what is arguably the basic human right to hold a belt of some kind.

WTF is this??No arm length requirement ? That’s not fair either. There should be a division for your arm reach, every lb weight , height to the centimeter. Weight can be further broken down to body mass index, to compensate for the fat asses. Just cause you weigh 147 doesn’t mean you should compete with a guy that’s shredded and you are not. And how can we miss punching power. Every fighter should have a power rating and only fight in your weight, height, reach, power punch class

I have been saying for years that everyone should start out with a championship. Tyson Fury starts out at the Tyson Fury champion...Anthony Joshua starts out as the Anthony Joshua champion. Should they fight and say, Fury win, then he is the unified Tyson Fury-Anothny Joshua champion.

At that point, Joshua might want to get back in the game, so he could go out and beat, say, Dustin Nichols, to become the Dustin Nichols champion.

I still have not worked out who will be the Tyson Fury diamond belt champion, the Anthony Joshua intercontinental champion, the Dustin Nichols Oceana Pacific champion, the Dillion Whyte regular champion, etc.

Why not also have specialty belts. Championship belt for robbery. Two, one for the guy that won via robbery and a belt for the guy that got robbed. Or bad officiating belt. For that guy that just has the ref out for him. The cheery pick gone wrong belt. That way your champ will never lose. He is still a champ for picking a cherry that went wrong.

The option is endless. WBC,WBO, IBF, WBA has this thread saved for future reference

Unification fights should be forbidden too. 2 champions is always better than one, that's pure logic.

White supremacy is killing boxing, we need a new tool kit to help boxing trainers analyze how they train minority fighters, are they too focused on competition and individualism, instead of cooperation & empathy. We also must work to dismantle capitalism as it is disastrous to the growth of boxing, Look at how big the boxing business and markets are/were in collectivist socialist communities like China and USSR, fighters should be encouraged to explore these alternative markets.

We also need to incorporate more LGBTQ+ role models and demand that they are represented on every card, or ban the whole event.

In truth, there should be no weight divisions.
