Hmm, I'm not sure about this logic SJS! I guarantee 99% of the "professional" judges have never boxed, and I doubt any of the judges for Pac/Bradley have ever laced 'em up. . .

You don't have to box to know how to score a fight. . . Since I started boxing, it hasn't really made me any better at analyzing fights - it's just given me a greater idea of how hard it is to box, and a greater appreciation for what it takes to compete at such a high level.

This fight was one of hte worst robberies in recent history. . It's definitely on par with Lewis/Holy, and Whitaker/Chavez. . .

 

experience is the best teacher. i'm willing to bet that judge roth has scored more fights than any of those writers have seen live.

as for not being able to analyze a fight better....stick with it. it'll come in time. if not...some ppl are just not cut out for boxing. no shame in that either.

again...if boxing was a popularity contest...u'd be right. unfortunately, judging has criteria that must be adhered to. if the fans understood this better, they'd agree with the judges scores last weekend. let's not forget...roth scored it for pac. switch a few of the other rounds on the other judges cards...and pac wins. that fight was close and could have gone either way. don't fall for hbo spin.

i'm a trainer now. i wouldn't embarrass myself by posting current footage. i still spar once in a while. it's been over 15 yrs since i last competed.
