Bad example. In a state of ignorance, I would be perfectly logical to assume jaywalking was legal if a random person told me it wasn't. I would be a fool if an official representative of the government cited me for it. See the difference? You guys are saying it is illegal. All of the "officials" are NOT citing Mayweather!!! No, I do think boxrec is a credible source. I saw it too. OK, boxrec says this, but now we have to examine why (even though a credible source says so) we are not seeing this called against Mayweather. The only logical conclusion is that this rule does not apply in certain sanctioning organizations, certain boxing commissions, or is just a "gentleman's" rule of boxing. You are looking for conflict where there is none. All I am asking for is if you want to create a circle jerk of hate, please show the source for your accusations.
I'm not looking for conflict. I do however know that the rules of boxing are two fold. You have the official rules that deal with the technical aspects and those that are decades old from the Queensberry and London Prize rules. The ducking below the beltline is in many places, even under the wiki but I figured you'd be partial to boxrec over wiki. I dunno, its one of those things that are so basic you don't even think about it. I suppose you'd have to find a ref's manual but I wouldn't know where to go on that.
By conflict I mean you are thinking I am "attacking". I am not. I am pro-FMJ, but I am open to facts. Pac fans seems to have tons of opinions, but when people ask for the facts? They resort to that Fraud Gayweather nonsense. IMHO, it shows how baseless the criticism is. Your response kind of parallels what I mean. You feel it is wrong, but don't know for sure. The refs in the ring are not calling it. Nobody complained when Sharmba Mitchell did it against Kosta. Then somehow it becomes cheating for FMJ? Seriously? So you are agreeing that this is nonsense?
ODLH knocks Vargas down with opened glove. PBF doing that too. Toney got only 6 month for steroids.w klit doing gay porn (holding) and running away with his arse forward. --- and nobody cares.
I know that the refs are not infallible and sometimes preferential. I also feel that Mayweather is allowed a lot of benefits. Maybe its a bit like the days of Jordan, and his rules and it depends on which side you fall on. This will determine how much you see or are willing to see. Obviously, you don't see it the way I do. And the fact that we don't see eye to eye, doesn't mean that it's not valid. And I do think its a valid point.
No official is going to stop a fight to warn Mayweather about ducking low. Not only that but if he did, Floyd would probably do it anyway. No referee will ever have the testicular fortitude to take a point away because one of the fighters is ducking low.
