The reason it is illegal is because it forces the other opponent to either not throw a punch or to throw one with the risk of hitting at the back of the head. The opponent loses his shot, and a break in the action ensues, which is what the violator of the rules uses this trick for, to hit and then bend and create the pause. It is illigal and it does create an advantage for the violator. Esp. with someone like Marquez who is a clean player. Had it been Barrera there would be a lot of rabbit punching on Mayweather's head and a lot of points deducted from Barrera. It took Felix Trinidad to finally show Pea why ducking down that low only works when you are fighting a sportsman.

Is that really all you can come back with? There was a hevyweight fight maybe 10 years back with Lennox Lewis where the judge DQ'd his opponent because all he did was hug Lennox for like 8 rounds. Why wasn't Hatton DQ'd vs. Tszyu?

He does it a bit...Its clearly illegal but its up to the ref to catch it..Stuff like that is a bit of a gray area (much like holding) and depends on which ref will enforce which rules to the letter.

But at the end of the day Floyd isnt winning because of this..He is winning cause he is just so much better then everyone he faces.

    A) That was Henry Huggin' Akiwande.

    B) Because that was in England and the only thing that ref didn't do is give Tszyu a crow peck when he broke them up.

I'm not hating on PBF but I find it very annoying and it kind of ruins the fight for me. He DOES only do it a split second at a time but it DOES give him an unfair advantage and he could easily do without it.

What a loser. Making screen after screen just to show is that Floyd is actually NOT below the beltline. What a fail.

Is that Uncle Roger when he was younger???? Uncanny resemblance!!!! It probably runs in the genes with the talent of ducking, very low.

If you see the fight in normal time it looks ok...lets face it to move like that takes a lot of energy.

They also have a punch in the text book to counter that...its called the uppercut :D
