Okay, this may be a bit of a daunting task, but I'm hoping to receive some participation on this one.

I'm going to make a list of components (no doubt which will be incomplete as I am sure I will be forgetting some) and am hoping you can respond with your top five (or ten would be even better) for each (independent of weight class).

Some of this may seem tedious, and some of these may overlap, but I'd still be curious to hear your answers.

    1. Best Jab
    2. Best Straight/Cross
    3. Best Hooks
    4. Best Uppercuts
    5. Best Combination punching
    6. Greatest ability to cut off the ring
    7. Best counter-punchers
    8. Best at slipping/dodging punches
    9. Best at rolling with punches
    10. Greatest in terms of ability to control the ring
    11. Best ability to take a punch
    12. Best ability to recover from a knockdown
    13. Best ability to recover from multiple knockdowns and still have a chance to win
    14. Best at bending the rules in his favor without getting caught
    15. Best footwork
    16. Greatest stamina
    17. Greatest Determination/Will to Win
    18. Best power (single punch)
    19. Best power (accumulation)
    20. Greatest ability to block punches
    21. Best at imposing his will on his opponent
    22. Best in terms of making his opponent fight his (style) fight
    23. Best volume puncher
    24. Most accurate puncher
    25. Most accurate counter-puncher
    26. Best finishers
    27. Best survivers
    28. Greatest in terms of ability to stick to a gameplan
    29. Best at adapting to his opponent
    30. The best in terms of keeping things competitive against superior foes

I know some of these 'components' overlap and I realize that there are no cut and dry answers for any of the aforementioned.

Just looking for a set of honest opinions/assesments from those who love the sport.

Of course, there are many fighters none of us have ever had the chance to see, and there are many fighters that some of us have not had the opportunity to see, even if such footage exists.

Base your answers on your best judgment. That can include on the basis of things you have read that lead you to lean one way or another, or it can exclude fighters you've not personally seen fight before.

Make sense? I hope so.

Anyway, interested in seeing where this goes.

    :good

All we need is a guy thats has

    crushing power
    Iron chin.
    68 reach
    185 pounds
    and 5 foot ten.

We can teach him the basics. And he will go far.
