Not quite like i expected with GGG out-landing him every round and brook really falling off the last 2 rounds. I don't think Compubox is perfect but it shows how the fight went pretty well
with brooks hitting hid groove in the 2nd and third and him falling apart at the end.

    Perfect.

That's exactly the data I was hoping to see immediately following the match.

Brook fell apart in round 5 and basically stopped punching while Golovkin pounded on him.

Before this, Golovkin often would hit him a bit, but Brook wound bounce back and get his own hits in.

In round 5? Brook did nothing.

    For the entire round.

Remember that if you're wondering why it was stopped.

its interesting too that we seem to be stuck on how often brooks made GGG miss when in all honestly GGG made Brooks miss even more? I think we are blinded by our expectations before the fight.

True. Those numbers clearly show Golovkin threw more and landed at a higher percentage.

However, I would have liked to see the full breakdown for each round. I think everyone was focusing on Brook's performance in the early rounds. But those punch stats are including round 4 and 5, where Golovkin dominated, and so that's skewing the percentages a bit.

GGG was getting outboxed by a welterweight who moved up two weight classes to take on the supposed deadliest MW in the world. LOL

You shouldn't have put statistics and facts on this forum.
The demographic don't like that, it doesnt suites their agenda. " GGG sucks"

If you want to be taken serious ( doubtful as you just repeat the same crap repeatedly ) maybe you should actually read the threads you are in this is showing punches landed etc which shows the exact opposite of the crap you spew. but hey you probably copy and paste the same response through 5 alts.

He was getting outboxed? That's a stretch, Golovkin did neglect his defense a fair bit - basically when he realised Brook couldn't hurt him, so Golovkin made a "drama show" and turned it into a street fight... which he warned Brook not to do, because Golovkin could wear Brook's punches all night doing that but Brook would gradually get destroyed.

It's much more interesting to watch than a Mayweather'esque fight, especially for the casuals - and guess what, Brook - a 36:0 fighter and title holder who weighed in heavier than Golovkin was ruined by the 5th round.

So yeah, you could look at it like Brook outboxed Golovkin because he hit him a bunch of times - but would you say that someone with a sling shot firing stones at a tank almost won if they hit the tank 5 times before the tank blew them into a fine red mist with a single shell? Much of a muchness.

    Couldn't have said it better.

Golovkin never bothered trying to box. His utter disregard for Brooks punches was remarkable. I've never seen him throw wild bombs like that before. Like he didn't know he would get countered? He didn't care. He just wanted to do his business and gtfo of there.

And that's just what he did. Props to Brook for possessing a full set of British nuts, but it wasn't much of a contest, tbqh.
