    I'm a long-time reader first-time poster....

Just wondering, as a die-hard gamer and boxing history buff, how many here have tried the excellent pro-boxing simulator for PC called Title Bout Championship Boxing. I've been messing with it for many years in all its incarnations, and each version has improved on the one before it. The next edition, due out later this year by all accounts, will be including a number of important features that veteran players have been asking for. The fighters in this sim are so well-constructed that I've used the game to correctly predict more than a few real bouts. The best part for a history nut like me though, is being able to invent my own alternate universe with the game and match the all-time greats, main-event fighters, trialhorses and journeymen in cards I put together myself.

Do a google search for OOTP Developments. They're the folks putting it out now.

Yeah. They are working on one even as we speak, I hear. Looking forward to it. Nice to support a booster of my favourite sport. They are few and far between these days.

I have fooled around with the demo before, it is awesome. I love making matchups that should of happened but never did. It has every boxer I have ever heard of. If only it had visuals like Fight Night it would be perfect. Maybe EA can incorporate Title Bout's Sim code into Fight Night to make the ultimate boxing game. I wish they made it for OS X.

I had the demo but didn't have the cash to buy the whole thing. think it might be my gift to me.

I hear you. They're trying to keep the game priced within easy reach of the average boxing fan.

it's crap - i've got a 'genuine' copy and you can pick lewis v vitali 10 times with a different result every time. e.g.

    lewis tko vitali 6
    vitali tko lewis 2
    lewis ud vitali
    vitali ud lewis

    what's the point in this?

It is shocking Americanised rubbish mate.

Jeff Lacy is a "boxer or slugger" on it. Joe Calzaghe is a "slugger" only. When those two fight on it, Lacy outboxes Calzaghe, but Calzaghe wins on points due to several knockdowns. It shocking.

it's pretty good, but the bias towards the american fighters is very evident. after going on their forums and seeing a few of the developers and researchers talking on there i found out why.

if the new version does include a career/management mode then i may get it, if not then stick it,

The fights happen round by round, but it's a text-based sim, not an arcade game, so no animations.
