    The reason for the tune-up wasn't to fine tune his skills ... it was to get rounds.

    He can work on all that other bull**** in the gym ... the rounds in an actual fight is what that matter. He felt that if he had a tune-up before he fought Floyd the first time that he wouldve had more energy and better endurance.

    Oscar just has to face the fact that fighting once a year ... inconsistancies in his last 5 fights ... and his age is catching up with him. He's not a gym rat so he's not in good consistant shape ... he has to realize that his skills are on the decline.

    1/2 the time in between rounds ... Oscar isn't listening to his corner ... he's fighting mainly off instinct.

    Don't confuse good boxing analysis w/ hating ... those are two totally different things ... no one is hating on Oscar ... people are just seeing a once great fighter on the down slide of his career.

    You act as though all Oscar has to do in the rematch is show up, throw 25-30 jabs a round and he's going to win the bout 12 rounds to 0.

    I'm not saying DLH could do better (he CLEARLY lost 7-3, 8-4 in the first bout) or that he _COULD_ win. That's not the point. NOBODY gives two shits about this fight, except die hard DLH fans who want to be the first to proclaim DLH "P4p legend" assuming he beats Floyd in a rematch.

    There are PLENTY of other fights out there - this is simply for $$.

    Sad thing is, DLH _WILL_ win the rematch. Most likely he will lose but they will find a way to give it to him, ala Sturm - setting up, the dramatic "DLH-PBF III where each guy will bring home 200 million....

    but hey, who cares - atleast the PR for boxing will be up! pssssh

    No one's going to fall for that **** ...

    DLH will not win that fight ... but he may persuade a judge to give him a split decision loss.

    He's not going to beat Floyd ... he's not going to come close ... he's not fast enough ... he's not skilled enough.

    Floyd is no Sturm ... and won't get robbed ... DLH is not going into the fight the odds on favorite ...

    Why isn't Oscar fighting Cotto?

    Then a win over Cotto would grant a fight w/ PBF ... or fight Margarito ... he should come to the table with something other than his name.

    A loss to Cotto would set up the fight that the fans want to see ( Cotto v Floyd )

    He didn't tire in the Forbes fight because

    a. he didn't have to work hard to find him
    b. he didn't run into any resistance from Forbes

    These two things will change against Mayweather and he will tire again, like he has been for the last 8 years in the last 4 rounds.

    imo the reason for the tune-up was to sell the rematch. nothing more, nothing less.

    DLH didnt even deserve the first match with Fraud, he certainly does not deserve a ramatch.

    Any truth to the rumour that Oscar will be fighting one final elimination match against Edgar Sosa at a catchweight of 150? Please tell me it is so, this is the fight the whole boxing world is waiting for.
