I know he's Irish but he's worth discussing as he'll feature on our domestic scene in Britain and he's trained by the Furies. Anyway I saw his fight at the weekend yesterday and he looks to have very low power. Failed to stop a really fat Hungarian human punchbag who has been stopped 24 times before, went the full eight rounds. Sheehan was nailing him with body shots and four punch combos and couldn't budge him, didn't hurt him once. Unlike Hughie, Con Sheehan doesn't have much physical development to come at 28. I doubt his power is going to get any better although his frame looks like it could easily carry about 20lbs of extra weight if most of it is lean mass. On the plus side, he has fast hands and decent footwork. although I do feel he leaves his chin out. Don't think he'll come close to winning a world title from what I've seen.
So does H. Fury... And he's challenging for one of the belts next month. Lets wait 10-15 fights before we start writing off Sheehan completely.
I think he's very good, you don't need to be a ko specialist to be a boxer you know, skills pay the bills and it appears he has skills
