I don't see anything special about Molitor. I met Concepcion at Vegas, He has the Aura of a future star. He's the most Solidly built among the Pinoy Prospect, He'll improve more, His Power just showing up. I don't see any weakness yet on Concepcion.

I am in agrrement with PacD on the count that I believe Concepcion is capable of beating Molitor. (I pick Concepcion to beat him on a hard-earned points win or late TKO.)

Concepcion is way too better than Rey Bautista. I've seen most of his fights live, in fact judged several of them. He's fought almost the entire roster of Philippine 122 lb divsion(which is no push-over). He's battle-tested and he has fought tough foriegn opponents. Something you cannot say about Bautista. And the best thing is that he wasn't rushed to big fights early. He's tenacious, powerful, bullishly strong. Just think of him as a modified DPDL. He doesn't have as much KO power as De Leon but he is much better technically.

I know what Molitor is capable of. I will not shortchange him. He might be the best kept secret at 122. But my hunch says it will be the toughest fight for both with the verdict leaning slightly for Concepcion.

    Yes bro, actually, I was.

I chose not to renew my license in the meantime. My work schedule will conflict with the fights. I miss those days.

If you think dominating 11 of 12 rounds en route to a 119-109 x2 and 120-108 victory is struggling, then you dont know what struggling is. If you want to see a boxer struggle, go watch Concepcion vs. Juan Ruiz. I can provide a link if you'd like. Molitor on the other hand, would've beat Ruiz 120-108 easily, not 114-112.

Concepcion is a solid prospect for sure, but thats it at this point. He is far from ready for a fight with Molitor. I have seen a lot of his fights, and hes just not that impressive right now. He has potential though. You said in your first post that he should fight Molitor next, then Marquez and Vazquez. If hes ready for these guys, why isnt he at least fighting guys in the 10-20 range right now? Theres a reason he is still fighting guys like Torrence Daniels, and I couldnt care less if hes trained by Mayweather or not, just look at the guys record.

Throwing this kid (who just turned 20 in January) in there with Molitor or any of the belt holders in the division right now would be a huge mistake. Molitor is better at pretty much everything. Speed, defense, movement/ring generalship, combination punching, counterpunching, bodypunching, jab, stamina and overall technical skills are all areas of boxing that Molitor beats this guy in, some by a landslide. Concepcion has the better power, but that alone wont be nearly enough. He has a ton of work to do before he is ready for Molitor. They should wait at least 2 years before looking to fight a titleist, unless they are trying to ruin the kid. Right now he cant fight Molitor anyway, since Steve can only defend against guys in the IBFs Top 15. Concepcion could get in there by beating someone in the rankings. If he does, and his handlers want to fight Molitor before the end of 08, by all means, make the fight happen. It will be yet another easy title defense, wide UD win, for the Canadian Kid.

Do you ever meet NON Filipino boxers and look at their "aura".

Weakness? He's not that fast, his footwork is average, he doesn't throw a variety of combinations etc. But you feel his "aura" trumps all these things I presume?

4 Defences for Molitor in 1 year...hard to top that. Homecooking maybe, but there was lots of it. Molitor would make your boy gas out...too much stamina.

He's supposed fo Fight Juan Ma Lopez instead of Daniels but Juanma Ducks & fights Oquendo instead who has a desicion win against Daniels. Don't blame BC for not fighting top fighters, Blame Juanma!!!!

I've not seen anything special in Concepcion. Decent prospect, nothing more

I'd expect Molitor to clearly outpoint him

Yes I did. JMM, Katsidis, & bunch of HOF Mex fighters in Vegas.

He's not that fast, same as Cotto. Footwork is what I want him to improve & I already pointed it out when I met him at the Pac-JMm weighin. He's thrown a lot of Variety of Combos in all the fights I've seen. He thrown his punch with accuracy just like PBF & Juan Diaz. He's Jab is Powerful, His Left hook & Right hook is a Killer.
