[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]NABF Superbantamweight champion Bernabe Concepcion is being lined-up to fight WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano this coming October. According to trainer Freddie Roach, Concepcion is poised to move-up in weight and get his first-ever shot at a world title. Roach made the revelation thru the daily Philippine radio show “Sports Chat” hosted by this writer. In the same interview Roach said the fight may happen beneath the Kelly Pavlik-Bernard Hopkins fight set on October 18 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 20-year-old Concepcion, who fights under Top Rank Inc. in association with MP Promotions owned by Manny Pacquiao has a record of 26-1-1 with 15 knockouts.Luevano meanwhile is a 27-year-old southpaw with a record of 35-1-1 with 15 knockouts. The La Puente California fighter won the crown by stopping Nicky Cook in the 11th round last July 2007 in London and has defended it three times. Listen to the interview with Freddie Roach here

It's either he gets schooled or he KO's luevano... Steven is a very good boxer and has excellent jab i just think he is a bit chinny.

Stevey is gonna wreck this fool. That four lbs is gonna make a big difference too has steven is a pretty big featherweight. He has some underrated pop in his punches too because he doesn't really have any killer insinct to for the ko.

He's 27 and lagging a bit now that the FW division is wide open.

The whol division is in limbo right now. If Concepcion were to somehow win this fight it would shake up the feathers!

This is gonna be an action packed fight.

I just wish Concepcion had a little more power. His fighting style would be perfect for a big puncher.

    :yikes Chinny?

You maybe talking of another fighter mate . . . Luevano survive a lot of killer head shots that could have KOed anybody in the feather weight class in his last fight against the Puerto Rican Mario Santiago.

This guy has a very good chin.
