Well... for lack of an easier way to put it, hes just better.

I dont think hes BETTER then them in all honesty, but hes totally differant then eather, and bigger....

Castillo wouldnt beat mosley, and hatton wouldnt beat mosley eather.... but cotto did.

None of them are alike enough to say well if this person couldnt do it how is cotto....

Neather combine cottos effective, accurate pressure, coupled with his underated D (its gotten a lot better... if it hadnt he wouldnt have lasted with mosley and judah) and his jab is improving. hes just a totally differant fighter, which is why i hate questions like this.

I agree Cotto's better, Kirk. There's no denying that. And I believe it would be a good fight, one PBF could lose. But I wouldn't bet on it.

However, I don't get how everyone has gone wild over Cotto beating Mosely when in reality it was a close fight. A lot of press row had it a draw, some even for Mosely. I personally scored it for Cotto by a few points, but the point is that all these cats are acting as though Cotto dominated an old fighter like he was "supposed to."

If you wanna see Cotto dominate, watch the Gomez fight.

Cotto has a better head to body attack then Hatton and Castillio does using both hands.

With hatton everyone knows that Hotton bread and butter punch is his left to the body but leaves himself wide open when leap in to delivery it from the out side , this is why floyd Cracked Hatton repeatedly with lead rights.

Castillio is just a very tuff Mexican fighter who will walk through shot in order to get to his opponents body. This IMO the reason his first fight with Floyd looked close , in there second fight Floyd took advantage of Castillio take Three to land one mentality and rack up point and move before Castillio had a chance to return fire.

Cotto on the other hand uses both hands his left being his strongest, but what really impress me is his ability to faint both to the head and body which what he will need to gain opening on floyd . he also stays very compact when moving in basically staying low and coming under floyd punches where hatton would come in very high for someone his hight and paid for it .

IF cotto stay compact and uses a 2 fisted attack going to head and body he has a very good chance but if he tries to box with Floyd, Cotto will be eaten alive, floyd know way to many trick and boxing is not really Cotto element .

In my honest opinion Cotto is just the more versitile and better skilled fighter. There's no stopping the trio's will to win but Cotto has an educated well polished approach coupled with his power, heart and willingness to do battle I say Cotto has a great shot at dethroning PBF. Still I feel PBF takes this fight in a somewhat contraversial win more because of soceity's thirst to see a somewhat invinvible figure become flawed. I have no doubt Cotto will be his toughest test, I will also point out the fact that PBF will most likely leave the sport after comforting Cotto in the ring. Anyone who thinks PBF will easily tear through Cotto is quite delusional but if comes to pass that way they are truly legenary guru's of the sweet science.
